Doctors

Lynda A Guenther, DVM is a University of California, Davis graduate. After graduation, Dr. Guenther completed a 1-year internship in emergency critical care, internal medicine and surgery. She has a special interest in dogs and cats. Dr. Guenther has been the owner of Blue Cross Veterinary Hospital since 1998. She is a die hard Chargers fan. Go Chargers!

Melisa Hicks, DVM is a Colorado State University graduate. After graduation, Dr. Hicks completed an internship in New York. She has a special interest in internal medicine and surgery. Dr. Hicks has been a co-owner of Blue Cross Veterinary Hospital since 2005.

Ralph Sellman II, DVM is a University of Tennessee graduate. After graduation, Dr. Sellman II completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Georgia. Dr. Sellman II has a special interest in dentistry.

Hospital Manager

Jeanine Brown has been our hospital manager since 2003. She has played an important role in making Blue Cross Veterinary Hospital the high quality and compassionate hospital we are today. She graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Health Science. Most of the time you will find her going to Disneyland, wine tasting, or traveling. She also enjoys watching documentaries and reading National Geographic.

Front Office

Monica is a co-Front Office Team Leader. She has been a member of the Blue Cross Veterinary Hospital staff since 2004. She loves spending time reaching out to and ministering people.

Paulette is a co-Front Office Team Leader. She's a lifelong resident of Long Beach and has been a member of the Blue Cross Veterinary Hospital staff since 2004. She enjoys reading, spending time with friends, and loving on her handsome cat, "Crash", in her free time.

Lisa has been apart of the front office since 2007. She's a proud mom of a deaf dog "Damien", a rescue dog "Mrs. Bayloch", and a rescue cat "Exene". In her free time she enjoys listening to live music.

Erin has been a front office team member since 2008. She loves reading and going to school. And she will say that she has the 3 cutest dogs ever!

Mona is the newest member to the front office team, she started in 2010. She is a single mom raising an awesome son and 3 cool cats! She loves to read and watch movies.

Technicians and Tech Assistants

Alberto is our registered technician and has been apart of our staff since 2003. He describes himself as a family man with 2 children and a loving wife. He enjoys camping, barbecuing, and attending Dodger games. Go Dodgers!

John is a technician and has worked up through the hospital ranks since 2006. He enjoys playing with his sons, spending quality time with his wife, and playing with his many dogs. He loves his job! (He's our dog whisperer)

Stacey is a technician and has worked in our treatment area since 2006. She is a new mom to a baby boy, so much of her time is spent with family.

Tanya is a technician and the newest member to our team starting in 2010. She shares her home with her husband (whom is also a vet tech) and a large variety of animals. In her free time she likes to dance, travel, and visit theme parks. Most of the time, you will find her enjoying the outdoors with family and friends. 

Kelsey is a tech assistant and has been apart of the Blue Cross family since 2002. She has 2 cats and a rescued dog. She loves hanging out with friends and staying active.

Claudia is a tech assistant and been apart of our veterinary family since 2008. She enjoys hanging out with friends and going to baseball games.

Edgar is a tech assistant and has been a staff member since 2008. He describes himself as a tall, calm, and friendly guy that loves animals, so he's rescued many. He enjoys making friends, dancing, and playing soccer.

Kerrie is a kennel attendant and has been apart of our staff since 2009. He likes spending time with family, friends, and his lovely dogs.

Dawn is a kennel attendant and has been helping us in the kennels since 2009. She enjoys reading, swimming, playing softball, playing with her dog, cat, and guinea pig, and spending time with family and friends.

Mary is our hospital assistant and has been keeping us tidy since 2002. She enjoys going to amusement parks, traveling, and spending time with friends.
